I think I could do that. The kitchen should be cleared at this time. I think most of the dorm is gone for the holiday and stuff anyway.

Oh! [Give him a second and a small gift wrapped box drops from his sylladex. ] Here. I forget, does your family exchange presents on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day?

Not really! But I think this would probably benefit you more now than tomorrow is all. We usually do as least one or two Christmas Eve and then the rest Christmas Day.

[Dave got film for his birthday, but for Christmas it's another roll of film plus a larger memory card for his digital. John doesn't seem to care that Dave's careful about present-opening.]

Forward of you. [ he doesn't explain that one either, just sliding out of bed and digging up slippers. he was already in a sweater...

just let him grab his camera and he's good to go, although he pauses to pet mewpac. ]

I think I can be a gentleman on Christmas and whatever. [He's 100% curious what the deal is but he won't ask at the moment. Instead, he's just sliding on his own slippers and heading for the door. Mewpac predictably meows up at Dave as the boys leave and John leads Dave to the kitchen.]

Two eggs okay?

Which ones? [ he sounds distracted as he checks the settings and then just boosts himself up to sit on he counter. hi this is probably not helpful but whatever ]

There's only one kind of egg that I have, babe. I meant a two-egg omelette. Is that good? [He doesn't care that Dave's on the counter, he's used to this...]

Is it? [ but anyway putting aside whatever he's vaguely doing, he just holds his camera up and snaps a shot of john. ] I'll eat whatever you make, hot stuff. I'm not the one with any food allergies?

[He lets Dave take his picture and he's also waiting and dropping an apron out of his sylladex. Wordlessly putting it on he's grabbing what he needs for a decent breakfast. Eggs, bacon, cheese even if you can't taste it, some green peppers, etc.]

The only allergy I have is peanuts and you know as well as I do that those wouldn't go in an omelette in the first place.
