Yes. [He doesn't know how to interpret this.] There's this kid I met a little while ago, name's Hinata. He was part of that team that kidnapped one of the MCs at the Ninja Warrior thing? Anyway he started teaching me how to do origami stuff.

[A laugh.] Yeah. I am pretty sure they gave up the point of the race after a while but it was fun to watch. Anyway he's a nice kid. Probably raised by a circus somehow but a nice kid. He taught me to make stars and birds.

I’m just glad someone else got more penalties than we did. And possibly more than anyone else in the history of ever?

It's pretty funny at least. [He follows the music then.] But yeah. He said it keeps his hands busy and I have to agree with him.

[Maybe. He doesn't agree or disagree, simply giving Dave a slight grin as he moves through the dances. The playlist on the iPhone has a various amount of songs, some orchestral, some modernized, and some piano pieces that are definitely recordings by John. But he's not stopping first.]

[At least one and a half songs. He catches a glance at themselves in the mirror and straightens his form, but he's still doing okay with the lead.]

...if you haven't figured it out, this is why I didn't want to really dance at the festival by the way. It would have been kind of obvious. [That he was practicing, he means.]

...dancing is the one dating thing I absolutely want? [ like he can make do without the rest but even with his friends he likes to dance sometimes ] So...sorry about that.

I know! No, I know, I...it's why I practiced and why I wanted to do this. What are you even apologizing for?

Don't be. I was not exactly helping by being shady and secretive. [A spin.] And since we'll be working and can't really dance at Sorey and Mikleo's wedding I wanted to get in as much time as possible.

Doomed to miss prom always. [ but he doesn’t sound like he cares? at least this time he isn’t speeding up the dance on john. ]

Prom's probably overrated anyway. [The current song ends and John seems to be listening for something as the beginning piano notes play and he switches the dance style again. Granted, instead of Michael Buble's voice it's John's playing over the speakers and he's Blatantly Aware this is cheesy as fuck and he's half-expecting Dave to call him on it, but oh well. Christmas.]
