[ this is terrible height wise maybe since dave is still seated on the counter, but he never minds being awkwardly bent and just reaches out to tilt john’s chin up so he can give him another brief kiss. before he pulls away and snaps another picture, apparently planning to keep that up. ]

[Well excuse you. That picture is probably of John being caught between delight and surprise because he definitely tried to kiss back. Dave pulls away and John looks up at him with a small laugh. ]

[ he laughs and lets the camera fall again though and reaches out to pull john over by the collar to just...stand in front of him between his legs on the counter though? and loops his arms loosely over john’s shoulders. ] Thanks for breakfast.

So far, huh? [But he just sort of pats Dave's legs before moving so he can start cleaning up. The apron's still on.] What can I say? I like a little risk sometimes.

Failure is always an option? [ it’s not really but he slides off the counter and moves to help clean instead of just watching, anyway. ]

Shut up, no it's fine. There's space for this one, I promise. [And with everything put away he moves to hold out his hand for Dave to take so they can head upstairs.]

[...INTERNAL SIGH. Part of Dave's Christmas present is not judging him for pictures and letting him do whatever, too, so he goes on ahead to their room.

Once they get there though, Dave will notice there's an empty corner that's on the other side of the computer desk and in the corner furthest away from the door. A few moments later:]

Okay so like...this should fit? [And it doesn't take long before he flips a cat tree out of his sylladex. There are also a few little dangling toys attached that John fastened himself for the kitten to play with.]

[ cool he takes pictures of john as he wanders after him, apparently either just content or seeing how far he can push the picture thing, it’s hard to say.

but he shifts from john to the cat tree, immediately amused. ]
