I still worry about myself, too. I take care of myself just fine. Why is it so bad to be worrying about you, too?

...I don't know, I guess I'm still not used to it? [ which is dumb. he frowns. ] But also I just...worry that you aren't being selfish enough, like I said. I just...don't want you to get into that habit, of sacrificing a thing you want or want to do all the time just because of other people. And maybe it's hypocritical but...I never claimed not to be.

Just remember the day's not over yet. [Which means he maybe has something else in mind?? Hm.] I am not getting into that habit, but I think maybe some of the hypocrisy needs to be worked on, too. You lay yourself on the line for people way more than I do and that part worries me, too.

Shut up. So at least we have a one-time-save on both of us. That helps a little.

[He glances at the oven then.] Are they done?

Yep. [ he'll just get them out...

he learned from ignis so they should be good??? he'll plate them up and glide over to the table, though. ]

[He's eyeing these little pastries, but the conversation isn't lost on him.]

I am not really that concerned about that. I already know you're going to do everything possible to make sure it won't happen.

[ dave sits down at the table, taking his own pastry. ] Yeah, just. I'm still sorry, y'know?

[He's blowing on his own pastry to cool it a bit.]

Let me ask you this. If I said "sorry I wasn't fast enough to save you" what would you say?

[ he sets his pastry back down and props his chin on his hand instead. ] You already know and I know you know. [ ... ] Point taken. But if I said to you what you know I'd say, would it make you feel any different?

[A shrug.] I don't know. I think you and I have developed a really bad habit of being reckless for each other, but I am also not sure I want to stop that.

We'll talk about why that is worrying later. So...what do we do about that? There's two of us who are like that now. Should we be worried?
