Okay first of all, I am not sure that would work? And also how do you know it wouldn't just make me an Alpha instead?

I think there's actually a way to temporarily swap one of us? Pen and I were looking into it. [Did he just remember this fact? Yeah, pretty much.] Or at least let us board the other trains. I'm not sure how well it works or how long though.

After I spent multiple lifetimes trying to keep you? Fat chance. [He's walking and the area around them begins to ripple and change, the digital landscape fading away and beginning to turn into a beautiful, lush forest.]

I would never take you somewhere where there was only snow. [...not without warning anyway, but he holds a hand behind him for Dave to take.] I'm actually surprised this showed up again. I wasn't sure it would after I left the first time. I did not get very far in exploring but I wanted to show you something cool.

[ dave takes john's hand immediately. ] Is it a waterfall?

What makes you think it's a waterfall? [He doesn't deny it, but it's a curious question. As they walk, beautiful, color flowers pop up as vines dangle from above. Crystal-like orbs glint in the sunlight and John continues to walk.]

Cute. [He grins happily as they walk eventually approach the more lavish area of the ground, a river, and what sounds like a waterfall in the distance. But more importantly, he points something out for Dave.]

We can definitely look for one, but check it out. [He's leading him forward and directing him to a photo cut-out stand.] These things look ancient.

[ wow, shut up, he isn't cute - although maybe there's something cute about the way he lights up at the sight of the photo cut-out? dave might not seem expressive at first glance to the casual observer, but john has known him long enough and well enough to recognize the slight curl of his lips, the way his eyebrows lift, the way he looks around with sudden intense interest. ]

This is the weirdest goddamned place for a tourist trap but you know what? Sold.

[He notices. He notices and he feels his heart swell a little knowing he was spot-on that his boyfriend's thrilled with his discovery.]

That's what I said. There are a few of them around. I'm not sure why? Or, like, if we are supposed to do something with them but I figured it wouldn't hurt to explore and see where they lead us.

You know you're going to run out of wall space, Dave. [But he goes like a good boyfriend and settles behind the cut-out, head suddenly hovering over the body of a wise wizard with a long white beard. Neither of them knows what will happen when Dave takes the picture...but it might be a surprise for both of them.]

Granted, John steps away from the photo cut-out...and now has a white beard and a wizard's hat. Congratulations kids.] Or we can add an expansion wing?

No fuck you we ain't movin' - [ dave's checking the shot before he looks up at john and breaks off mid sentence, laughing. ] Well, shit. You're missing the santa suit, babe.
