What kinda time would that be? [ he presses his face into john's neck and it's fairly clear he's just hugging john and breathing him in with zero intent to start anything else. ]

[He doesn't mind at all and he's using one hand to run over the back of one of Dave's in a soothing sort of gesture.]

[Yeah...Dave never asks, so John tunes in almost immediately to what's being said and he nods in response.]

Sure. Want to walk back on your own? [Or, given he's already sprawled on John's back anyway, he'll carry him downstairs to their dorm.]

Nope. [ mostly bc he doesn't want to let go...idiocy. but it's also not like he thinks john will have any trouble carrying him. ] Can my favor be a turnaround of the thing that one time?

[The hand reaches up to pet Dave's hair, not bothering to lower himself or anything for Dave to boost up onto John's back. Dave's taller, he can figure it out.]

I have this paper due already because teachers are sadists and spent most of the day in the library. [ bent over books. ] Also I imagine you're better with 'em but maybe you will suck just to prove me wrong.
