[He doesn't say anything in response since he's a little busy sitting up a bit to meet him for that kiss.He doesn't touch him yet but he does immediately dive in, his own mouth firm yet pliant against Dave's to draw out said-kiss.]

[And back down he goes, laying on the floor with Dave on him and his hands kind of sprawled on the ground so he doesn't touch him. He's moving his mouth a little more frantically in that case but not enough to border desperation or the like. Their cat gets to deal with them and John idly wonders what Dave's planning but decides not to ask and simply go with this until he gets a better idea.]

[ what dave is planning: fuck if he knows honestly he has a vague idea but is just doing...whatever. he pulls back again and focuses in on john, eyes half-lidded and lazy and he brushes a kiss to john's cheek before casually letting his weight actually rest on john, pressing his face into john's shoulder again and just breathing. ]

[Dave's still skinnier than he is so he doesn't object, hands still not touching him even with Dave sprawled out and his face in his shoulder. Instead, he focuses and his voice is a little lower than usual when he speaks up.]

Just say whatever, idiot. Eighty percent of the time you accidentally say the right words. [ dave settles for that instead of explaining and goes back to what he was doing. why he doesn't just make out with his boyfriend instead of sucking on his neck is like unclear but if john doesn't want a mark he should dislodge dave sooner rather than later. ]

The key word here is accidentally. [He's not even thinking about it so he doesn't push Dave from his neck. He's more focused on working his hands over his spine and his muscles again.]

--ow, hey! [But it's a hint of laugher because it didn't really hurt, it was more a reaction of surprise. He turns just a little to cast a gaze back to Dave.] I told you, not a words dude.

[ no fuck off dave isn't available, direct all calls elsewhere? can't look at him if he just hides his face in the crook of john's neck. ] And I told you that you were wrong.

[A hand leaves Dave's back to run up and pet his hair instead.] So that was a good thing then, I guess?

go back to where he bit john and rub his thumb over the area before going back to...apparently he is actively trying to leave a mark. it's punishment.

Neither can I. [He can still hear that, Dave. Nevertheless his hands are working in soothing, idle motions even when there's a bit of a jump of surprise as Dave bites him again. It's not an overall bad feeling and there's a questioning noise even as he shifts to give Dave more space to work with.

If they want to keep laying on the floor and doing this, that's fine. The floor's kind of gross and not too comfortable, but John's on the bottom and he's fine being a pillow for the time being.

As such, he doesn't say anything. It's just a relaxed sigh through his nose while his hands work over more kinks and knots to loosen them.]

[ is the floor that gross, john bought a goddamn vacuum and is a nerd. there's a quiet hum against john's throat as he continues with the now awkwardly angled back rub and dave's more or less relaxed on top of his best friend anyway.

he's sleepy and loosening up at least and he traces the probably growing bruise with his tongue and it's likely the slowest and sleepiest hickey ever but whatever. ]

[Gross by John's standards tbh, but it's fine. He's still a teenager and doesn't really care that much, especially given the circumstances. The back rub's a little awkward but he continues, digging in deeper to muscles to get him to unwind and relax. There's a little shiver when Dave's tongue brushes over his neck but he doesn't push him away.

Actually, it's kind of adorable since Dave usually isn't like this.]

Enjoying yourself? [It's a low murmur, but he's pleased all the same.]

[ john makes his bed like an insane person so his opinion doesn't count.

dave just brushes a last kiss against john's neck before giving up and relaxing entirely, drowsy but not exactly enough to drop off. ]

[This just means that John makes their giant bed every morning, I hope Dave appreciates that. There's a little laugh and he makes note to maybe check and see if Dave really left a mark later, but for now he's running slow circles on his back.]

Oh so that's what this is, huh? [It's fine. With that said, he's exaggerating his movements to get Dave's blood flowing and keep him warm.] Okay. [He does shift them though, sitting up just a little to kiss him briefly.]
