[ john once accused dave of staring at his arms months ago and dave hadn't back then but his gaze does skate over john now before he rolls off his socks and then stands to put things away and change. thank god for shades. ] She deserves it. Most kids do?

I never said she did not deserve it. [Dave will get a good view of his pretty ripped arms then, basically.] I agree with that, actually, but it does explain why even after all this time she prefers you to me. You know she's going to sit on you while I work on your neck.

[He reaches forward and uses his thumb and index and middle finger to pinch at his neck a little and massage the back of it.]

I could sit on you if you want but I am pretty sure that would just wreck your spine a little. [Dave's in front of him and John's hands move. They're warm at least and he starts with his hands on Dave's shoulders, thumbs working into the skin at the base of Dave's neck in a slow and steady manner.]

[ naturally dave slouches because he has terrible posture which probably did not help while he was in the library. he shivers at the warmth but stays still. ]

[His hands are steady at least, firm and maybe it was dumb to say he wasn't good with his hands as he works over a few kinks in Dave's neck to loosen knots.]

Maybe consider not wrecking yourself from now on?

["What about if I'm not there in time to fix it?" It's a thought, but he doesn't express it. Not now. It's not time to talk about those things so instead he's still moving his hands even while pressing his lips to the back of Dave's neck.]

Don't dish what you can't take. [He's trying not to laugh even as he lets his lips rest against the side of Dave's neck.]

[ his hand comes up to reach back and tangle in john's hair so that's. helpful. ] You're still not allowed to pin me to anythin' 'till you can beat me.

[They're doing great apparently and his thumbs dig in a little harder at that.] You do realize that only serves as motivation right? Which is a little messed up but whatever.

[ that's not an incentive to tease john less. a hum-sigh as dave relaxes back against john more, into his touch. ] Good. It'll inspire you to suck less.

[Dave is the worst boyfriend, apparently, but John doesn't care since Dave's relaxing and his hands continue working into his shoulders and his neck, smoothing up his skin and into his hair.]

Still not good enough to take me down? [ well. he probably could, as long as dave kept to his usual level of careful not deadly serious?? but john needs to plan better and not give dave dumb openings... ]

Patience is bullshit. [But his hands are apparently patient and slow, careful over bumps and sore spots.] I still train by myself sometimes but obviously you can see the issues with that.
