I haven't either, really. Matt's an attorney but that doesn't count much. And Naoto's a detective technically, but even then that's a small number.

Glitchy, fucked up, and involved a lot of mechanics and building? On the one hand I can kind of see her point if she's never experienced something like that. On the other hand, yeah, this is way different than Sburb.

I've had this conversation with a lot of people. I believe it's real, too. Nothing else really makes sense. How can you explain the physical changes, the powers, all of that kind of stuff if it wasn't real?

...but our situation is a little unique, I will admit.

Mm. I guess I have some ideas. [ but he doesn't say anything further so apparently they're secret ideas. ]

So what you're saying is you are going to surprise me when I least expect it. [He's working his hands down Dave's spine and more toward his lower back now.]

[ another of those soft feels-nice sighs tinged with a hum-moan, too quiet. it takes a minute to register john's remark, and dave just laughs in the breathy way he gets when he's edging on relaxed and sleepy, southern drawl thick and heavy and low for the same reason: ] Exactly that, darlin'.
