Dinner's still baking. [It's mostly done, but he is doing something both childish and fancy for their dinner.] Let's just go so you can get it out of your system.

[ upstairs it is! dave takes john's hand, thumb absently rubbing over the tattoo at his wrist, and leads the way. ] What is dinner, anyway?

Dinosaur-shaped chicken nuggets. [He's grinning so he might not be serious? God maybe he's serious.] And some other stuff, but dessert's what's actually in the oven. I adjusted the temperatures to finish baking that while keeping everything else warm.
