Speaking of things I want to do with you...we've talked about it before, but I still want to write a song together.

Maybe because we didn't really live that close. [ dave looks at the food again then stands up. ] Wanna go try?

....being in sync anyway? [He doesn't really have to think that hard when it comes to what sounds Dave reminds him of and translating it to chords and melodies. Maybe it's the same, or maybe Dave should try to explain anyway.

...it ain't a bad prelude. [ john isn't wrong, but dave also just feels like seeing john play the piano and listening to something they both create.

You know I don't want you to do things just because I like them. I get that me liking them probably trumps that but you know sometimes I worry about it.
