[The bill comes back and John signs the receipt, pocketing his card and giving Dave another small, fond look.]

In case what? [ asked as he's up and out of the seat, loitering until john is ready to walk back to the car. ]

[He's up and following, though he moves to press another kiss to Dave's face.] In case you needed to hear it again. Come on.

I mean, I never mind hearing it. [ muttered even as he tags along. he'll stall at the car and let john get the door. ]

[John gets the door but he watches him closely before he just kind of grabs Dave's hand to kiss the back of it.] I figured.

[He lets go though and lets Dave get in the car before he goes to get into the driver's seat. He doesn't immediately start the car though.]

[ ugh!!!! that's so stupidly effective. when he gets into the car he doesn't buckle his seat. ]

[He's doing his best. He doesn't buckle up either but he turns to face him.]

[A soft laugh.] Do you want to be drunk enough for something like that? [He gives another contemplative look.] We don't have to actually do tattoos. You know I was mostly kidding. [Mostly because...he would totally do it, he just doesn't think Dave has to.]

...right above the heart huh. [That's a little sweet, he'll admit.] That wouldn't hurt too much.

My pain tolerance is high. [ he's just watching john curiously now. he doesn't care for pain in the general way of things but he can put up with it sometimes and he's never minded john's teeth. needles are whatever. ]

Yes I've noticed. [He drums his fingers on the steering wheel.] I think maybe the wrist...or the same place as yours. The wrist because I could at least see it while I was playing and most days I think of you when I play anyway.

It isn't like I don't already carry you around, but sometimes reminders are nice.
