[At least Dave is going after what he wants. John returns the kiss before snuggling up again to kind of think on this. Apparently this is what they're supposed to do as much as he dislikes it.] I think sometimes I'm way too passive and that fucks things up, too. Maybe if I wasn't people would stay.

[Dave's shifting and John reads that as Dave's trying to get up and pull away for something so he goes quiet and moves to give him space.]

I didn't fight to keep Vic either, but that one I feel a lot less bad about now.

[Both is fine, and like. Yeah? They can definitely make out for a little bit since John's not fighting him and easily turning to catch him in a kiss. It's fine, they're fine, but he won't let him escape for that long.]

[ it's easier to move closer to john while kissing him than it is to try to think about what all he isn't saying? ]

[He can ask later. As it is he's busy pulling Dave into his lap to keep kissing him, hands fisting in his shirt a little to keep him steady.]

[ they're really easily distracted when neither of them wants to focus on the topic at hand. at least the marks are...betterish? dave lets himself get hauled into john's lap, easily shifting to settle a bit more comfortably, arms looping over john's shoulders as dave leans into the kiss. ]

[A hand moves to touch Dave's back and he presses against his spine, the kissing growing a little hungry and harder. They can avoid the topic as long as they acknowledge it later and this is really the first time in their new home they have the space and privacy to do this.

It's why his hand starts to slip up under Dave's shirt to his lower back.]
