[ there's just a soft sigh before he pushes john back, leaning in to kiss him. it's gentle and a little tired and dave doesn't know what it is he wants to say anyway. ]

[He's pretty easy when it comes to Dave and what Dave wants. He'll leans back and pull him forward to settle on him, tilting his head up to meet him for a kiss. He doesn't know which direction to press conversationally so he figures this might help. So. A kiss it is, slow and deep and not quite ready to break apart.

...I think...it is a little different for me in that I'm still trying to fully learn who you are. Kind of like I'm trying to learn who I am? I don't think I ever knew either of those things in the old life either. But because of that, and learning the parts of who you were and who you are and who you can potentially be, it's like...yeah. I'm committed to all of them. I want to be here no matter who you choose to be. Does that make sense?

[ he levers himself up enough to hover, shifting so he can rest his weight on his hands to either side. ]
