WEEK TWO: SUNDAY AFTERNOON, ROOM 106
[ so after the execution they'll meet up in clementine and emily's room again. dave once again takes a seat by violet on the couch, although this week he is more. neutral? than last week. quieter. whatever.
still, once everyone is settled, he does speak. ]
Last week I ended up goin' into the Library. Pried some of the boards back from the unmarked buildin' and saw inside. Got some books, also saw a huge monster inside. [ he will at least toss out the books they got: mostly science and math shit, but also other things. yay. ] Also went into the buildin' next door to this one. It was a pet shop, there were monsters, I don't recommend it.
[ in the same monotone, as he glances around: ] Not sure what I'm doin' this week. What'd everyone else learn?

[ HE CAN SO SAY IT CASUALLY ]
It had like tentacles?

Well, hopefully there won't be any monsters in the next two rooms we check out.

[ although so far information hasn't come to more than how they got here... ]
Or the Hunting Lodge. Your key, your choice.

basically blah blah blah alternate dimensions and times = totally legit! thanks library. ]
Nope. Horrorterror death needs to be added to the list or the blood gods would get bored.

Goodness forbid we disappoint the blood gods.

And a new picture.
[He brought all the pictures, and this time, he puts it down for everyone to see. It's the execution, which looks horrible and gruesome and not fun. He took a wide shot that included the lake and the fog.
Which is why he caught something interesting. Because while the execution seems normal enough, in the fog, there are these. Thousands of them, all smiling with gruesome yellow smiles and blood-stained teeth. Grouped together, witnessing the trial.]

[ but cool. good to know what the blood gods look like! not. his tone is modulated at least, rather than startled or terrified or much of anything else. ]
May as well have the report.

[ but also FUCKING YIKES @ THAT PICTURE]
... I thought Dave was kidding about the blood gods.

[AnYWAY]
Jake and Andersen went to try out the burned building to the south. There were human remains around, probably burned skeletal ones like we found in the pet shop. [But not animals so tbh Andersen and Jake got the better one.] There was some kind of large tumbler there too, whatever it was. While they were there, two massive, skeletal hands burst out of the ground and dragged them under to the sewers.
Jake said he was 'scolded' by a mysterious woman's voice. [Weird recurring pattern!] They also came across monsters, large human-faced rodents, and they came across someone's skeletal remains. Jake couldn't say how long he travelled before he found a room. [Why is Jake like this because Dirk has to add:] He called it the room of the sewer goddess.
[SIGH]
She smelled like lavender and had a jukebox. When she appeared, she was a mass of tentacles with a human-like form. She also had a sadistic personality. [The details aren't needed here unless someone asks for them.]
Jake managed to blast her head off with a flare gun, which is how they survived. He still has it, and one shot left. [Dirk doesn't think it'll save him against a killer, but maybe if someone targets Jake, the sign of a flare gun attack is what will help them find who was guilty.]
They got out because a blue light guided them to the room in the gas station. He said it felt like the light wanted to help them.

Okay. So... Could the woman be "mother" from the weird note, before? Or something?
And - the only other place with a jukebox is the Diner, and it's cut right in half... But it also doesn't really make sense for it to have had two, if that's where hers came from?
[ There is a lot. But. Clementine is not the person to do it. ]

Well, hopefully blasting her head off actually killed her. [ it wouldn't surprise her if it. didn't. ] I don't think we want anything to do with some...one [ THING ] like that.
A blue light? Is it too much to hope for some kind of entity that's actually on our side?

The spiral notebook is folded open to the first few pages or so. The edges are peppered with peculiar markings, almost like sigils, tiny renderings that don't do the originals justice.
In the middle is a simple doodle of Jason in the Robin outfit, but he has an X over him. Vertically beside him is a nutcracker with an X over it, a "scary" figure with an X over it, and something that resembles the menu with an X over it.
The bottom corner has a two dimensional bowl with a lump of something inside.]

...He doesn't know any roles? [ what the fuck is that bowl in the corner he is not sure god save him ]
