[The valet shows up and John returns the kiss, squeezing Dave around the waist a little before opening the door for him.]
Cool. That is all I wanted to hear. [And once Dave's situated he'll go to the driver's side and start driving them to their next location.] Anyway so yeah, it's kind of pottery and kind of not.
[Luckily the art place isn't far from where John took them for dinner, so eventually he finds a new place to park and turns in his seat almost expectantly.]
This is the place. They're open for another couple of hours.
...It's yours anyway. [ muttered as he drops something into john's palms. he leaves his hands over it for a second, still kind of second-guessing if john will even want it, but when he pulls back it's just his (sort of shitty looking) heartstone.
[His eyes are still shut when he feels the smooth parts of the stone in his palm and he makes a face, unsure of what to think before he opens them and glances down.
He pauses though.
...huh. His hands rotate the stone a little, breath caught in his throat as he thinks of the implications here before looking at Dave again.]
...are you sure? [He's already closing his fist around it because fuck off, it's his now.]
Okay. [The heart goes into his pocket instead of his sylladex but a small box comes down from his 'dex instead before he passes it over.]
It's kind of lame and a little weird but I think it might be something you appreciate? [Whenever Dave unwraps the box he'll find what looks like a cheap digital camera with a little sticky note that says "turn me on ;)"
Upon doing so, Dave will find...literally a day's worth of pictures of John like someone else is taking them. Given the angle, it might be easy for Dave to tell that John set the camera up in places and had it set on a timer to take pictures are random intervals for the most natural look. It's stuff like being in class, playing one of the school's pianos, playing with Mewpac, walking down the street, sitting in the library, just a bunch of mundane shit but still just John for Dave's collection of stuff.]
This would be so utterly creepy if it weren't done by you. [ but dave grins over at john sideways before reaching over to yank on his tie and pull him in for a. longer kiss?
he loves photographs and he loves photographs of john so apparently yes he appreciates it. ]
[There's a laugh but he moves to meet him for that kiss, a hand coming up to cup the back of Dave's head and hold him there. He wants a longer kiss damnit.]
[ acceptable. john's his boyfriend and is Allowed longer kisses, even if dave's pretty curious about the place they came to and even if car makeouts are always a little cramped and awkward.
he just kind of laughs against john's mouth, though, because yeah. ]
I know...I keep forgetting things changed for me. [He pulls back and licks his lips a bit, eyes bright and way too thrilled with everything.] Mm...makeout at home later. We have some shit to paint right now.
Unless you figure out a way around it, I still very much need to breathe. [ he put it off, but. dave runs a hand through his hair and nods, undoing his seatbelt and then popping the door. ] What are we painting, anyway?
Breath transfer maybe...[But they can do that later. He's out of the car and walking around to Dave's side.] We are painting whatever you want. We can either make our own, or we can pick some of the premade stuff and paint them.

[ it was the whole "do you even want it" part. it's cracked and still kind of bad looking, so. ]
no subject
Thank you. [Suffice to say, yes, he wants it.] I'm going to hang onto it.

Yeah? ...Well, cool. So, uh. Your turn.
