You've only rarely let fear of being weird stop you from doing shit and that shit has never been bothering people randomly. By all means go for it? No one has really lived until they've had a Harleybert shove friendship down their throat via a random message.

...if Jade were around, she'd definitely befriend everybody in town.

You think? [A shrug.] I guess maybe I just like talking to people and never really think about it that way. It has worked out for making alliances and stuff here though.

Probably this girl who told me I couldn't be a god. [He's not salty about it, but he's still a little annoyed so there's that.] Why, do you have somebody else in mind already?

Oh, the one who was doin' the registry of skills? I ended up not givin' her the full rundown on mine since she flipped about 'em. [ he doesn't answer... ]

Yeah. I figured she was just going to get mad if I told her everything I could do so I just did not. She was mad about the windy thing and stuff. I guess I am not used to that.

Yeah, not worth it. [ a shrug. ] Maybe she'll calm down later but if not no use gettin' someone upset about shit.

I'm not upset. [There's a petulant little pout but then he looks down at the bowl in his hands.] I guess seconds aren't bad. Are you still hungry? [Can you say no to this hopeful, watchful face, Dave?]

I mean there's no reason to upset her by like...existing. [ he mostly means he doesn't intend to bring up any powers around her again or argue about it ever...anyway he sets his bowl aside to paddle more stew soup whatever into john's bowl. dave has yet to finish his bowl. ] I eat slower than you, I guess?

[windeity]

I think that is probably because you keep talking. [He takes the bowl back though and gives Dave another grin. His glasses, finally, get flipped back down so he can see. He doesn't immediately down this one like the last but he holds the bowl in his hands anyway.]

I don't mind people here. Not even Vriska and Terezi.

Yeah, I didn't think so since you're you. Ditto though? I didn't get on with maybe one person tops but it ain't like I mind them.

Dumb. I think all of us are taking this as seriously as possible.

Yeah, but you and I joke around about it too. I mean we always have. So I kinda get it but also kinda not.

Yeah, I know. I don't blame anyone who's taking this more seriously than the rest of us but...I don't know. Is it bad to say this isn't the worst thing that's happened to us so I don't mind it as much?

Dude, nothing you say about your subjective feelings on a matter is "bad". Certain obvious exceptions like thinking Failure to Launch was good aside. It's...things aren't specifically trying to kill us all the time? Just sometimes. Kinda relaxing.

I think that is how I feel, too. We aren't playing to save or build a universe and we can breathe a little here. I like just like...I don't know. Stuff like this.

More the hanging out part but the latter is something both of us should probably always do.
