WEEK ONE: SUNDAY AFTERNOON, ROOM 106

[ dave dropped violet off a little earlier at the room, then went off to haul dirk back to 106, so when he steps back into the room - knocking and being let in, presumably - it's with. the oldest member of this little power rangers squad in tow.

he goes to sit on the couch next to violet, bumping his elbow into hers as a sort of "hey" and then leans forward to rest his elbows on his knees. there's like. that chair or whatever by the end table for dirk, clementine and emily are probably sitting on their respective beds?

anyway dave kind of eyes dirk (again. this will keep happening) before going: ]

Okay. Everyone but me can role reveal if we wanna get that out of the way so we can talk information and make a plan for the week based on, y'know, what we can do. Everyone but Dirk [ nods to ] knows what I am, anyway, and he can't know from my mouth 'till tomorrow so we can test a thing. Y'all can mention whatever, though...

VIOLET IS A FLOWER THEMED GIRL WHO IS SMART AND COMPETENT WHO THE HELL eLSE WAS HE GONNA GRAVITATE TO obviously clementine and emily. this is fine. ] Also he wants to do laundry with me apparently.

O...kay. [ to the laundry doing. this is not alleviating violet thinking dirk is Really Strange. ] I'm going to assume that's just a thing where he comes from.

[HE REFUSES TO CLARIFY he'll just like. Throw himself on the pyre, now. Or risk his death? Whatever.]

I'm rollin' the Photographer. [Magically, everyone can now see what he holds out: an instant camera.] It shows things that are hidden, like what's really in the Dark Room. It probably taps into somethin' or other about the Alien Geometries not meant for mankind.

[So if anyone wants to kill him for it, please. Do. He wants to die about laundry.]

He has pictures. One of the Dark Room that shows what it really is. If we take him into rooms, he can...see if shit is there we're missin'. It's instant photography, apparently.

[ SO. when combined with other people's shit... ]

It could keep me from missin' things.

Okay, so if we just use to it take pictures of the places we explore, we'll know what we're dealing with. I guess that's good.

... What is really in the Dark Room?

[ GLANCES OVER AT DIRK, assuming he still has the creepy-ass picture on his person. do you want to share with the class, dude. ]

[ well if you want a red pen and a paper pad dave still carries them around so he tosses them over at dirk. ]

[ it's ok violet just figures he's a fucking weirdo. it's fine we're fine power rangers go. ]

That's a neat item, Dirk. I'm [ she sort of hesitates glancing at dave because. why are they testing a thing WHATEVER OK... ] the Bomber, and Dave's the Convict. The menu aptly described my role, and of course Dave has the skeleton key that unlocks locked doors.

Shouldn't show up if I don't tell him.

[ the key, he means. he digs into his pocket and tosses it into the air to catch. it should only be visible to people he Willingly revealed his role to and he has yet to do that for dirk. ]

[Okay. Seeing an invisible toss is whatever, I Guess.] You're going to see if the camera picks it up when I get my five new shots Monday. [A potentially huge aid.]

You get five shots per week?

[ because that makes this test feel like a lot less of a waste, so, good ]

Yeah, just five a week, with a rollover on Monday.

No one else here has a role you can test it on.

[ SINCE THEY SURE ARE A SQUAD OF SKILL USERS. ]

Speakin' of, we're breakin' into a burnt buildin' tomorrow.

[ JUST. CASUALLY ANNOUNCES IT. ]

Like, normally, without the aid of any items. Me and Dirk. Could get dicey but it'll eliminate an option.

[ fyi the mods have said maiming is possible so maybe anyone who doesn't want to get maimed should sit down and not go. ]

Do you think you'll need assistance breaking in? Or a lookout, if it's during the day?

Do you think we can take a picture of Ghosts?

[splinten]

I'm not sure. So far, I took pictures of Craftly, the Dark Room, the toy machine, the jukebox, and an exterior on a burning building. [He seems mildly annoyed because] I did that first Sunday, since the rules said it'd roll over Monday, but apparently that didn't count for the first Monday. [HE IS STILL OFFENDED BY THIS.]

That's probably a good safeguard for those with items.

[ don't toss your key out a window or something dave. ]

Yeah. I wanna know exactly how far that safeguard goes, since apparently at least one role can bodysnatch and use 'em freestyle. Which, by the way, means I want to use my shit tomorrow and get the useage out of the way.

That's... probably a good idea, just to be safe. I still don't understand how that works, them using an item they shouldn't even know about, but I guess we'll find out if we ever find the Ghost.

I hadn't thought of that. The longer you wait to use a skill or item, the more chance the ghost has to use it for you. Ugh.
