Look at it this way: if I'd just not let you know I cared about bein' able to tell you specifically shit and just forced myself to adapt in the first place, we could have cut out half of our problems. If I'd just made myself stay on the base and not let on about...safety or comfort, that'd cut out the other half. There is literally no upside to me lettin' on to this shit, ever.
