[Pause. He looks very serious as he thinks about it.] I suppose it would depend on the commission. I have never taken one before, though I have designed a tattoo for someone.

I guess we don't have anything to really use to pay, though...I was just thinkin' I'd like a drawing of a crow, if you ever feel up to it.

[NO PROMISES but yes.] At most, it would be a polished drawing since that is the extent of the art supplies I have with me.

That'd still be more than enough for me? Like. I dunno, don't pictures just make you feel better to look at?

Yes, some do. There is a painting in particular I am familiar with that always gives me a sense of calm and care...

What's it of? If you don't mind my askin'.

The painting is called Sayuri. It's a beautiful painting of a mother looking down at an infant cradled in her arms. For years, the original had been unknown to me as the baby in the painting had been painted over.

But I was able to see the original. It truly gives you a sense of care and love.

...That sounds nice. I mean, moms in general just...sound nice?

Yes. The painting does give me good feelings about them.

[Yusuke's phrasing is telling, that he has no idea about moms in practice. Just from Sayuri, he could get a feeling of his own mother.]

I never actually met mine.

I never truly had the chance to know mine. [He shakes his head.] She was gone when I was still a baby.

Yeah, sorry about that, dude. And I do. Did? I mean, I have a sister, she's pretty much it these days.

Within the last year, I've found myself with several who gave me a place to... just be, I suppose you may say.

Yeah, with a lighter blue wavy symbol on the front where my gear is?

Yes. And he flies. We've met, though very briefly.

Then yeah, he's my best friend. The girls ain't here, but John and two other girls I know are. I have three - best friends, I mean. But Rose and Jade...yeah.

It's strange how there are a couple of us from where we're from, rather than most people... [Just sayin.]
