[He falls silent for a bit as he watches the movie.] ...thanks, by the way.
[There's not a verbal response, but his arm winds around Dave's shoulders a little tighter to keep him closer and he focuses on the movie entirely. No problem bromigo. This is how things will stay.]
[ THAT'S COOL. absurdly this is actually one of the one positions in which dave can actually fall asleep without pretending. someone in his space he's more or less okay with, a heartbeat he can track, and background noise that is completely nonthreatening.
[John will literally keep him there all night if he has to to make sure Dave is safe and resting even if he's not asleep. He won't really fall asleep himself until the very, very early morning hours but by then the movie's over and has started over again. Goodnight kids.]
