That is a super cliche thing to ask me to watch but luckily I adore Marty McFly, so I'm down. [ he's been going through a plastic box and pulls out two information cards on those plants to hand over. ] ...some concern about you thinking your glasses would be under your bed, also?
Awesome. [He snaps up the cards and pockets them, picking up the plants in one hand.] And no, probably not. Sometimes they get knocked off of my desk, it's no big deal. You'll get used to it.
I have never broken or lost them, surprisingly. Temporarily lost, sure, but I kind of like being able to see. So I guess other me never lost them either? Good to know.
Before everything that happened at the end of the world. My memories all seem to be from around the same age, but there has to be more. We were going somewhere so...we were friends for a long time after everything happened, too. Right?
What did you actually expect me to say? [ he's...amused. because what the fuck. why does john think dave misses the other three? ] I can't picture ever stoppin'.

Honestly, don't sweat it. Some of the shit that matters most you never even registered before, I don't think. I think that's kind of how things go with people? The things you say or do that hit them hardest, you don't always think about it when you're doin' it, because it's not a pivot point for you, you know?
I told you, I don't know how to make friends like a normal person anymore. So excuse me if I think this is really kind of exciting. [At least he looks embarrassed? Funny enough, he knows exactly what Dave's saying. And he wonders if Dave realizes that some of the things he's said hit him harder than they should.]
That sounds like it will either be really great or a really big disaster. But it'll be fun either way. [But okay. He's taking his plants and he's turning, walking backwards toward the door and keeping his eyes on Dave anyway.]
