WEEK TWO: MONDAY AFTERNOON, ROOM 112

[ well after that dave just drags dirk back to the motel - he lets go once they're out but continues on anyway, only slowing when he's sure there's no pursuit - and back to room 112. he doesn't say much so dirk could split off if he wanted, but once he's in his room he digs out all his medical supplies. disinfectant, bandages, painkillers, alcohol pads, and disinfectant cream.

he dumps them on the bed and doesn't drag off his shirt because: ]

Glass. [ muttered and of course he doesn't have tweezers. he gets a shirt to wrap around his hand so he can start. digging the shards out.

the shirt he is wearing is completely gonna bite it? he sits on the bed to start this, frowning in concentration. ] What'd you get.

[ burns - weird ones - he catalogued. but what else? ]

I dunno, I kinda got hit with a lot of glass?

[ he's kind of trying to get some out himself...still...from any other areas. probably mostly his arm / maybe shoulders, although it's likely at least a piece or two hit elsewhere but didn't stick. his forehead may have a gash (it does) but the area around his eyes and down on his face is mostly fine due to how he blocked the impact to protect his shades. ]

That's the worst of it, turn around. [ your turn. he's not letting dirk get to his gash until he gets the glass out of dirk in return? ]

[A noise of displeasure but he knows he'll get to get to the gash faster if he turns around and lets Dave go for the glass. Unsurprisingly, he got hit less, and less of it stuck in. He has a cut across his neck though because he's Dirk Strider and that's how life goes.]

I get to bandage the gash after.

[ an eyeroll dirk can't see. ] Fine.

[ dave gets the glass out and then insists on cleaning the cuts, getting them with the disinfectant. he doesn't bandage anything unless it's bleeding badly, because dirk wants to shower and it'll be easier to just bandage whatever after that.

whenever he's done he'll take off his shirt since it is Ruined Via Glass Anyway, so they can better see what happened to his arm.

like, beyond all the glass cuts. ]

[Dirk abandons his shirt too because yeah that sure is acid that wrecked it. He takes hold of Dave's arm to carefully look it over.]

Okay, this is probably pointless, but after disinfecting it and bandaging this, we might as well ask Craftly for medicine. It wouldn't be tetanus and it's hard to figure out what to treat against. Still, we don't lose anything by asking.

You can put in a request card for it. I'd ask if we can trust it, but Ems likes him, so.

[ looks like there's the bite, the gash of. missing flesh. and a rash like lots of little ant bites, apparently.

dave's peering at dirk's chest as dirk checks out his arm, and he's, like. ]

I...guess we should disinfect the weird burns, too? [ unsure??? can't hurt. ]

It probably won't make it worse.

[Dirk got first dibs though so he's going with the disinfectants etc and then grabbing the sewing kit. He's quick to light a candle, sterilize the needle, and start sewing.]

[ so like. this is whatever? dave will at least patiently wait for dirk to finish (he neither flinches nor changes his expression) before he starts in on the disinfectants for the runic horrorterror burns. ]

Maybe it's calling me a dumb fuck. Cthulhu could be that level of rude.

[It feels like a deserved address. He sits through the disinfecting, although he also does a quick wrap around the gash and alcohol on the rash before wrapping it up.]

Any idea from your diggin' what the locked building might've been?

Nope. No idea what the fuck's in it. But then, I don't know what the fuck's in any of these places.

dave will go to grab one of his at random. dirk can either accept one of jason's (dave's are too small, probably) or grab one of his own. ]

We can always try to pry off some of the boards over the windows first to see if there's like. Any way to see what it is, but.
