WEEK ONE: SUNDAY AFTERNOON, ROOM 106

[ dave dropped violet off a little earlier at the room, then went off to haul dirk back to 106, so when he steps back into the room - knocking and being let in, presumably - it's with. the oldest member of this little power rangers squad in tow.

he goes to sit on the couch next to violet, bumping his elbow into hers as a sort of "hey" and then leans forward to rest his elbows on his knees. there's like. that chair or whatever by the end table for dirk, clementine and emily are probably sitting on their respective beds?

anyway dave kind of eyes dirk (again. this will keep happening) before going: ]

Okay. Everyone but me can role reveal if we wanna get that out of the way so we can talk information and make a plan for the week based on, y'know, what we can do. Everyone but Dirk [ nods to ] knows what I am, anyway, and he can't know from my mouth 'till tomorrow so we can test a thing. Y'all can mention whatever, though...

[ LET'S GET DOWN TO BUSINESS, to defeat...the HUNS. there is no particular tag order just do whatever and treat it like a trial you can threadjack i guess. ]

I think he's okay.

He said that the person who made this game doesn't like him very much. They gave him a choice, and now he's--like our "host," he said.

Then he said he didn't want me to have the same choice. Maybe he played the game too.

Also, we shouldn't vote for him. He said it would be bad if we did. He would go away, and then we wouldn't have any help. But people would still die and bad things would happen.

[splinten]

[That makes sense. Dirk was a little annoyed (enraged) by some of his behaviour at the trial, but he trusts in Emily's opinion as well.]

Did he count as dead, for your Medium role?

[empireofrats]

[You know, she didn't think about it that way.] I don't know. I don't think so. I think I just had to talk to him. No one had died for me to talk to yet.

[splinten]

Okay. [He brings this up because:] You asked about turnin' up ghosts. My picture of Craftly just showed him as he was. I wanted to make sure I wasn't missing an obvious possibility.

[empireofrats]

That's okay.

You had to draw how the strange room looked. Is that because you can't talk about what you take pictures of too?

[splinten]

Nah, I just didn't have the pictures with me right now.

[On that note, and to everyone:]

I'm leaving copies of my pictures under the couch cushions in my room. If anything happens to me, they're there, for what it's worth.

[empireofrats]

Okay. Will you take a picture of me so I can see what it looks like? I've never had my picture taken before. All of the royal family have paintings. Mister Sokolov did my mother and my grandfather.

[splinten]

Since the camera can only take five photos a week, I might have to hold off on that for a bit until we hit a week where we won't be explorin' as much. [But!] I'd be totally happy to do a sketch of you. It ain't exactly a royal portrait, but it should be a decent effort.

[empireofrats]

[Aw man. SOMEONE TAKE HER PICTURE YO.] Okay. I would like that. [She smiles a little. It might not be a photograph, but she enjoys when anyone draws with her... or draws her???]

[splinten]

[He will literally stop in the middle of this meeting to flip over the paper and pen and start a cute sketch of Emily in red. HE IS A GOOD ARTIST although he also does one, like... in Homestuck style... because clearly she deserves two to make up for the lack of photograph this week.]

She watches him, naturally, and this turns out to be one of the best things she's ever seen. Absolutely will she put it with the shitty SB&HJ crow that Dave drew.

For the record, I trust your opinion on it. [ shrugs. she told him earlier the same stuff and dave...is still willing to buy it. ] I don't think votin' for him would be a grand idea, anyway. I mean, I didn't even before you said so.

[empireofrats]

I feel okay when I'm talking to him. Like the man with black eyes. He says people don't like him very much. I think... he might be the Outsider. People say he's bad.

But when I'm in the floating place with him, he never hurt me. He wasn't mean to me either. He said he doesn't hurt people because they hurt themselves. Except for the whaling ships--because he likes the whales. He said he knew Corvo.

I think the Innkeeper is like that too. Maybe he's not a good person sometimes, but he doesn't hurt anyone unless they try to hurt him.

[parodeity]

[ okay, all of that sounds creepy and weird, but dave just nods. ]

The man with the black eyes is someone else you see when you...go to sleep? Go to the Medium Zone? As long as he doesn't hurt you, that's chill.

[ after a second: ] I know a lot of people like that, too. Who won't hurt unless they're harmed.

[empireofrats]

[She nods.] I've never dreamed of him before, not until recently. When you go to sleep, you wake up in the floating place. It looks like your room at first, but when you go outside, everything is--

Like the sea. Except there's no water. It's blue and grey, and there's floating islands, and everything else is floating too. And you can hear the whales singing.

I think he said it was called... the Void. I guess that's what this will be like.

Huh. Sounds kind of like a dream bubble, but...not.

[ well, as long as emily doesn't seem to mind it, that's okay...? ]

For questions, all I can think to ask is if they go to the same place you do, when you sleep. The dead. They have to be somewhere, after all, if you can speak to them.

Like.. a graveyard? Is there a graveyard here?

[parodeity]

I'm not sure. Back home, if you die, your ghost kind of ends up...in weird places, made up of memories and possibilities. It sounds like death here might sort of function in a similar manner. You're not just gone, you...go somewhere.

[empireofrats]

Oh. Like the Cosmos. The place you go when you die unless you worship the Outsider.

[Or maybe everyone goes to the Void. Spooky.]

Yeah, kinda, but with way more obnoxious alien ghosts.

Like...aliens bein' people who live on other planets. There are a lot of ghosts of aliens in the dream bubbles, and they are mostly obnoxious teenagers???

Oh. [Tf you talking out of your mouth, Dave? CRAZY.] You've met the ghost aliens before? What do they look like?

They're grey and have horns that are like, orange and white. Also, all ghosts back home have like...entirely white eyes.
