[ he's actually looking for dirk, so dave tries like. dirk's room? and other places in the hotel? before going to the pool in annoyance hoping to locate someone else (who probably already went where they were supposed to go) to help him locate dirk, but at the pool - dave's favorite place besides the jukebox - is where he finds dirk, actually.

his reaction is annoyance rather than relief. ]

Why are you where I'd be??

[ godDAMNIT. he actually avoided dirk probably post...execution...and he isn't bringing up the world's most awkward hug, but he crosses his arms and looks kind of frustrated. ]

[ he reaches out to snag dirk's elbow and tow him towards the building he will drop it once they're there and will lead dirk to a certain room, don't fuck it up dirk.
