[Wherever they are, the first thing they’ll notice is a large expanse of sand. In the not-so-great-distance, clear blue water. The sun beating down, and it makes his eyes strain due to the contrast of where they had just arrived from. A pier, stretching out into the waves, connected to what appears to be some sort of… restaurant? Small hotel? Both?
Recognition dawns on Ardyn almost immediately. He should feel relief coursing through him, but he can’t quite achieve that state right now.]
No, but I was here visiting once. Meeting a few... friends.
[The way he says "friends" belies that it might've been more complicated than that.
There are no people here, but there are umbrellas planted in the sand. A stall to buy fishing supplies nearby. It's all very quaint, as the tides slowly roll in.]
Too warm, I think. [He's not a big fan of the sun; it feels as if they've gone from one extreme to the other, though if he had a choice? He'd still pick this place.]
[Eventually they make their way to the wooden pier, leading towards the restaurant proper. It's easier to walk here, even if neither were really having any trouble, and the scent of the sea catches in his nose.]

So, nothing likely to jump out and attack us? I'm totally on board with this. Is that a restaurant or what?

[He remembers he had walked through that restaurant, smiling and patronizing, meeting a group of people on the other side.]
Don't tell me you're hungry?

[But he waves at Dave for him to follow, shoes sinking in sand as they walk towards the restaurant.]

[ he's following along, keeping his balance on the sand without thinking about it. ]
