From what I understand an AI to be, that would not be so different from my losing my memory before I arrived here. It is true that others discovered their memories were "altered," right?
Or, something or someone in the environment could be creating interference.

Yeah, her access could be restricted, but the thing is, I think whatever is restrictin' it - or whoever - constitutes a "negative" thing, you know? Like...if someone is messin' with our Base AI, and has been since forever, we kinda need to look into that.
I believe you, Dave, and you are right to be suspicious; however, it is less negative in the sense that she would not have developed a free will only to use it to withhold information.
As you said, everyone likes her. I would prefer it if we had to investigate an outside force instead of turning on our provider. It is very difficult to confront a friend.
In any event, I believe we should start by verifying that she's not being messed with at present.
