[ dave has had similar dreams and similar notifications. his secret is more "jade wolf killed dave strider" but holy shit does he not want anyone to know that. at the very least dave had a way to stop his own notification: dirk exists, and dave has told him everything bar nothing so far. that might start to slowly change, but so far it hasn't. so far dirk is still the big brother who can fix everything and anything, the guy who makes the world make sense again.
the pebbles wake him up and he ignores the text because of it, immediately going over towards the window, opening it up.
